The KoreaTech KRFBC-240 Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter conforms to ASTM D240, Standard Test Method for Heat of Combustion of Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuels by Bomb Calorimeter.

  • Equipped with a thermoelectric (semiconductor) water-cooling system, the instrument automatically determines the required cooling capacity and balances the water-circulation system based on the heat released during the previous test. This maintains a constant water temperature and greatly reduces the influence of ambient conditions. It also enables continuous operation by preventing the temperature difference between the outer-bucket water and the ambient environment from exceeding 1.5°C, which could otherwise interrupt testing after four or five consecutive tests.
  • No manual measurement of the water quantity or adjustment of the water temperature is required throughout the test procedure, making operation simple and convenient.
  • The instrument is equipped with an advanced compact oxygen-filling unit that provides reliable operation and a low failure rate.
  • A probe-type electronic measuring vessel measures the quantity of water delivered to the inner bucket with a repeatability error of less than 0.5 g. This improves the accuracy of the water measurement and reduces the testing time.
  • Special automatic shut-off and drainage couplings simplify water replacement. When the drain hose is connected, the instrument discharges the water; when the hose is disconnected, the drainage stops automatically.
  • USB communication technology allows a single computer to control up to four calorimeter units or other compatible instruments, creating an integrated testing system.
  • The software is fully compatible with Windows operating systems and provides high operational stability. It can connect to an electronic balance and supports remote data sharing over a network.
